We are also very attentive to the product we handle from the time it arrives at our facility to the time it leaves. In an effort to align ourselves with new import requirements Monte Vista Farming Company has allowed FOOD SAFETY AND PROCESS TECHNOLOGY to operate a complete class 2 laboratory on our premises. This laboratory is fully equipped with all of the current state-of-the-art equipment for testing for Aflatoxin using the HPLC method. It is USDA certified and strictly third party owned and operated. This will allow Monte Vista Farming Company to comply with all aflatoxin requirements worldwide. The laboratory is also equipped to test for freshness and pathogens, as well as yeasts and molds. To further enhance the safety shield at the Monte Vista Farming Company facility, Food Safety Consultant, Dr. Rick Falkenberg has established an on site presence at our plant. The services of Food Safety and Process Technology, Inc. provide the company with all necessary laboratory testing of product, including HPLC aflatoxin testing according to European Union and V.A.S.P. protocol.
